What do Zebra RFID accessories actually do?
RFID accessories handle charging, power, connection and protection for UHF RFID terminals and readers. Without a charging cradle, a spare battery or the right power supply, an RFD40 gun or a TC22R terminal stops halfway through a shift. These items govern operational continuity, not user comfort.
A traceability project never stops at the reader and the tag. The moment equipment leaves the office for the warehouse, the workshop or the loading bay, it faces daily charge cycles, drops and gloved handling. This accessory layer is what decides whether your mobile terminals and UHF RFID readers stay operational across three shifts or run flat in the middle of a stock count.
The accessory families available
This category covers every peripheral in the Zebra ecosystem we distribute, from mobile terminals through to RFID printers.
- Charging cradles: single-bay cradle for the TC22 and TC27, dedicated cradle for the TC22R, single-bay cradle for the RFD40 UHF RFID reader.
- Batteries and locking: 7000 mAh battery shared by the RFD40 and the TC22R, battery lock to prevent accidental removal or swapping.

Printer accessories: roll core adapters
Roll core adapters match the inner diameter of the label roll to the printer spindle. On the Zebra ZD621R and ZD611R desktop models, they allow large-core industrial rolls to run without lateral play or label drift, and therefore without RFID encoding offset. A poorly seated core is a classic cause of scrap on the first labels of a roll.
How to choose your RFID accessories
Three questions frame an accessory order before you even look at part numbers.
Which model exactly? The TC22, TC27, TC22R and RFD40 do not share cradles or cables. Only the 7000 mAh battery and the 4-slot charger are common to the RFD40 and the TC22R.
How many units to charge? Below three devices, a single-bay cradle is enough. Above that, a multi-bay cradle with its power brick cuts both the footprint and the number of wall sockets.
Charging only, or charging and transfer? A cradle charges; a USB-C cable adds synchronisation with the workstation.

Charging packs ready to roll out
For phased rollouts, two complete packs bundle the cradle, the power supply and the mains lead under a single reference: a single-port pack to equip one station, and a 5-port charging pack for a charging room or a logistics office. They remove the partial-order problem, where a cradle arrives without its power brick and sits unused.
