At SBE, we take the security of banking information very seriously, and you take no risk with us. This is why we have chosen external solutions so that your banking details never pass through our website.
Even though the SBE Direct website is hosted on highly secure servers that are regularly updated and backed up, no banking information passes through this site. Among all the payment methods offered here (see the FAQ "What payment methods are available to me?"), only card payments and PayPal payments raise specific questions.
Payment by credit card
We have chosen the MERCANET e-commerce payment system from BNP Paribas, one of the most secure systems available today, certified by Visa and Mastercard for its quality and security.
During your credit card transaction, you will be automatically redirected to BNP Paribas’ secure servers via their MERCANET online payment network.
The connection with BNP’s MERCANET server is secured by SSL encryption. Payment is made via the 3D Secure system, and the bank does not store your banking details after the transaction.
During this transaction, SBE has no knowledge of your credit card number and receives no record of it. We are only notified of the accepted payment for your order.
Payment via PayPal
PayPal is a safe and fast payment method where you do not need to share your banking details to make a payment, using your PayPal account instead.
During your transaction, you will be redirected to PayPal’s secure server via an encrypted (SSL) connection to access your PayPal account and complete the payment. Your order will then be recorded once your payment is validated on your PayPal account.
During this transaction, SBE has no knowledge of your PayPal account details, and even less of your credit card number, and receives no record of them. We are only notified by PayPal that your order payment has been accepted.
