The pouch
- Clear front panel: contents can be checked on sight, without breaking the closure
- Zip locked with a numbered T2 seal: any opening leaves a trace
- Single 245 x 152 mm format, sized for a keyring and an access card
- Three colours to code sites, departments or rounds
- Customisable from 15 units: company name, logo, workstation number
A keyring that changes hands without being traced is an open risk. This security pouch holds keys and access card behind a zip locked with a numbered T2 seal: the recipient can see the contents through the clear front panel, and knows straight away whether anyone got there first.

A circulating keyring is a liability, not an object
In a care facility, a custodial site, a workshop or a school group, the question is never "where are the keys" but "who was holding them between 2 pm and 6 pm". A keyring gets lent, handed over at shift change, taken out on a call and brought back. Every handover is a point where accountability can be lost - and where a copy can be cut without anyone noticing.
The secure key pouch answers that specific problem. It does not replace a cabinet: a key cabinet secures storage at a fixed point, the pouch secures movement. The two work together. What the pouch adds is a named container that is handed over, logged and recovered - with physical evidence of non-opening between those two gestures.
In practice the procedure fits in four lines. The keyring goes into the pouch, the zip is locked with a numbered seal, the number is entered in the handover log, and the recipient checks that number before breaking the seal. If the number does not match, or the seal is already broken, the incident is recorded at the exact moment it becomes actionable. For a set of keys handed to an outside contractor, that is the difference between a suspicion and a finding.
Clear panel and sealed zip: checking without opening
The format is a single size, 245 x 152 mm, calibrated for a service keyring and what usually travels with it: an access badge, a site card, a folded instruction sheet. This is not a document pouch - for a file or mail, the format of a universal secure pouch is better suited, and a laptop belongs to another range altogether.
The front panel is clear, and that changes the way the job is done. The recipient counts the keys through the wall before breaking the seal: if the count is wrong, the dispute opens while the evidence of integrity is still intact. With an opaque pouch such as the one intended for precious items, you have to break it to check; here you check, then break.
The zip locks with a single-use T2 seal. A seal is not a padlock: it does not resist a tool, it proves that someone got in. Numbered, it becomes a traceable reference in a log. If you need to close a keyring without putting it in a pouch, the key-fob seal covers that case differently. The pouch also shields the keys from knocks and damp in transit, and the manufacturer states an antimicrobial treatment on the lining and locking chamber - an argument that carries weight on an item handled by everyone on a shift handover.
Three colours, and marking from 15 units
Blue, red, green: three shades, one reference each. Colour has no mechanical effect, it serves the procedure. One shade per site across a multi-site estate, one per access level on a sensitive site, one per round for a maintenance team: sorting happens by eye, with no label to read. Check availability variant by variant before writing a colour code into a standing instruction - that is what most often delays a rollout.
Beyond colour, the pouch takes proper marking: company name, logo, workstation or workshop number. The threshold is low, fifteen units, with four to six weeks of production. It lets a single site start with identified pouches without placing a wholesale order. For a need broader than keys, customised bags, cases and envelopes open the same principle to other formats.
One last point of organisation: plan the consumable alongside the container. A reusable pouch burns one seal per closure, and a procedure that stops for want of seals produces exactly the traceability gap it was meant to close. If you need variable marking on the seals themselves, the personalised T2 seal allows it, from significantly higher volumes.
FAQ - secure key pouch
How many keys does the pouch hold?▾
The 245 x 152 mm format is sized for a service keyring together with a badge or access card. Our database does not record a capacity in number of keys, and it would in any case depend on key size and on the presence of a bulky ring. For a heavily loaded maintenance keyring, trial one unit before ordering a batch; for a larger volume, the clear pouch for personal belongings offers a different capacity.
Is the seal supplied with the pouch?▾
No. The zip is designed to take a T2 seal, but the seal is ordered separately - it is consumed at every closure, whereas the pouch is reusable. Count one seal per keyring handover and build the replenishment into the same purchasing routine.
Can the pouch be opened without breaking the seal?▾
No, and that is the point. The T2 seal locks one way: freeing the zip means breaking it, and the break is visible. The seal therefore offers no protection against forced entry - it makes an opening impossible to conceal, which is the objective on a key handover.
What material is the pouch made from?▾
The material is not documented in our product database. We would rather state nothing than announce an unverified composition: the manufacturer's technical data sheet can be requested if your specification calls for a precise characterisation, in particular on tear resistance.
What is the minimum quantity for customisation?▾
Fifteen units, with four to six weeks of production. Marking carries the company name, a logo, or an internal reference such as a workstation number. That is a low threshold for bespoke work, and it lets a single site be equipped without a wholesale order.
