The photoluminescent left-hand door evacuation pictogram points to an emergency exit whose door is on the left, on the same level. Its green ISO 7010 symbol sits on a photoluminescent support that stands in for the lighting: in the dark, the marker keeps glowing. Made of rigid 1 mm PVC in 300 × 100 and 600 × 200 mm, it fits indoors and out. Tough silk-screen print, custom size on request.

The photoluminescent left-hand door pictogram, point by point

Filed under the photoluminescent evacuation signs (green) range, it gives one plain instruction: reach the door on the left.

  • A door on the left - the pictogram points to a way out through a door on the left-hand side.
  • Photoluminescent support - it absorbs light and re-emits it once the room is dark.
  • Green ISO 7010 - the standard colour of exits and escape routes.
  • Rigid 1 mm PVC - a flat panel, fixed with screws or adhesive.
  • Silk-screen - a print that resists oils and solvents.
  • Indoor / outdoor - it holds up against damp and temperature swings.

A level exit, on the left

This sign covers the most direct case: the exit door is right there, on the left, on the same level - no stairs up or down. Its arrow follows the horizontal move, in the direction of travel towards the way out. As soon as the route changes, switch marker. Door on the right? Choose the right-hand door pictogram. Path through a staircase?

The stairs-up-left and stairs-down-left markers handle the change of level. And to start the route or name the exit outright, the horizontal directional arrow and the emergency-exit sign complete the set. Every change of direction gets its marker, with no break in the wayfinding.

Self-powered at night: a glow that won't go out

photoluminescent door-left evacuation pictogram glowing in the dark after a power cut

The photoluminescent support is what separates this sign from a plain printed pictogram. Exposed to daylight or room lighting, it holds a reserve and lets it out as a green glow when everything goes dark - a power cut, smoke, failed emergency lighting.

No wiring, no battery: the sign runs on its own, as long as it has taken in light shortly before. In a corridor suddenly plunged into darkness, it is often the only landmark left to find the door.

ISO 7010, MFX 08003, ISO 6790: the pictogram's compliance

The symbol draws on ISO 7010, which sets a graphic safety vocabulary identical throughout Europe. Added to it are MFX 08003 conformity and the ISO 6790 reference, dedicated to the symbols and colours of evacuation signage. For the building manager, that guarantees a marker read the same way by everyone and consistent with the rest of the signage. The sign belongs to a uniform accessories and signage approach and a people security framework.

Two sizes, up in minutes

The 300 × 100 mm handles close reading, above or beside the door leaf; the 600 × 200 mm ensures visibility in a larger volume, a hall or a wide corridor. Thin and light, the rigid PVC fixes with screws or double-sided tape, no special tools. For an exact size or added text, the made-to-measure route covers the non-standard - see the ISO 7010 standard guide, and the print your logo guide for the file to send.

Questions fréquentes

Which exit does this sign point to?

To an emergency exit whose door is on the left, on the same level. The pictogram guides people to that door during an evacuation.

How does the photoluminescent version help?

It stays visible with no electricity. After taking in light, the support glows in the dark and keeps marking the door in a power cut or smoke.

Is the sign compliant for a public building?

Yes. Its pictogram follows ISO 7010 and the product carries MFX 08003 and ISO 6790 conformity for evacuation signage.

Which sizes and material?

Two sizes, 300 × 100 mm and 600 × 200 mm, in rigid 1 mm photoluminescent PVC. A made-to-measure size is available.

Can it be fitted outdoors?

Yes. The silk-screen print resists oils and solvents and the PVC holds up outside. It fixes with screws or adhesive.
