The exit + pictogram + right arrow photoluminescent sign guides towards the exit door when it is off to the side, out of direct view. The standardised ISO 7010 pictogram, paired with a right-pointing arrow, reads instantly without a single word. Its photoluminescent surface keeps glowing once the lighting is cut, so it stays visible in dim light or smoke. 1 mm PVC support, two sizes, indoor and outdoor installation.

What the exit + right arrow photoluminescent sign shows

It holds a specific place in the range of photoluminescent evacuation signs: it orients people towards the exit before it comes into view.

  • Right-pointing directional arrow - indicates that the exit is to the right of where the sign is mounted.
  • « Exit » ISO 7010 pictogram - the standardised silhouette walking through a door, understood without translation.
  • Green background - the safety colour of evacuation routes.
  • Photoluminescent surface - stays legible in the dark, with no power source required.
  • 1 mm PVC support - rigid panel, screwed or glued in a corridor or at a junction.
  • Two sizes - 300 × 100 mm and 600 × 200 mm depending on viewing distance.

Orienting people before they reach the door

In a corridor, a lobby or at a junction, the exit door is not always straight ahead. This sign steps in beforehand: its arrow indicates that people should head right to reach the exit. It therefore differs from the photoluminescent emergency exit sign, which is mounted directly on or above the door itself. It is fixed at eye level, at the point in the route where the change of direction needs to be anticipated.

Photoluminescence: staying oriented in the dark

A power cut or smoke filling a room should never make people lose the thread of the evacuation route. The photoluminescent surface of this sign is designed for exactly that risk. It charges under ambient light during normal operation, then releases that energy as a green glow as soon as the room darkens - no battery, no wiring, no dependence on the mains. The arrow and pictogram stay readable at the precise moment when direction matters most, alongside the mandatory emergency lighting.

Plain exit, emergency exit or staircase: choosing the right sign

This « exit + right arrow » sign is suited to orienting people towards a standard exit when it is off to the side. Don't confuse it with the « emergency exit » + right arrow sign, reserved for dedicated emergency exits: the direction is the same, but the destination and the regulatory context differ. To mark an emergency exit directly, without an arrow, the photoluminescent emergency exit sign is fixed on the door itself. If no door pictogram is needed, the right arrow sign alone complements existing signage. When the route runs through a staircase, the right door - up arrow sign indicates the vertical direction to follow.

The 300 × 100 mm size suits most corridors read at close range; the 600 × 200 mm can be seen from further away or when mounted higher up. Custom manufacturing remains possible for a specific size, via our custom signage and security panel. This marker is part of our building signage range and overall people security approach.

Frequently asked questions

What does the right arrow mean?

It indicates that the exit or emergency exit is to the right of where the sign is installed, even before the door itself comes into view.

Does it need a power supply?

No. Its photoluminescent surface charges under the room's ambient light, then glows in the dark with no battery or wiring.

Where should it be installed?

At a junction, a corridor turn, or anywhere the direction to follow isn't obvious, at eye level and facing the direction of travel.

What's the difference with the “emergency exit” sign?

This model directs people towards the exit from a distance thanks to its arrow; the "emergency exit" sign is mounted directly on the door itself, with no directional indication. There is also an "emergency exit + right arrow" version reserved for dedicated emergency exits: same direction, different destination.

What sizes are available?

Two: 300 × 100 mm and 600 × 200 mm; a custom size can also be made.
