This long arrow photoluminescent evacuation sign marks an exit to the right. Its elongated arrow sits on a rectangular band, 300 x 100 or 600 x 200 mm, readable from the far end of a corridor, and its 1 mm green photoluminescent PVC stays active the moment the lighting fails. Screen printed and ISO 7010 compliant, it completes the photoluminescent evacuation signs range.

Long arrow photoluminescent evacuation sign: the key points

  • Marks an exit to the right, elongated arrow on a rectangular band.

  • 1 mm green photoluminescent PVC, stays visible with the lighting off.
  • Screen printing rated excellent for durability, resistant to oils and solvents.
  • ISO 7010 pictogram, indoor and outdoor use, one-year warranty.

A 300 or 600 mm band to hold the direction

On an escape route, an arrow does not say where the exit is: it says which way to walk. This sign marks an exit to the right. Its arrow is elongated, set within a rectangular band of 300 x 100 mm or 600 x 200 mm, a three-to-one ratio.

That format governs reading distance. An arrow set inside a 100 x 100 mm square, such as the right arrow sign or the downright arrow sign, is read close up. The band is seen from the far end of a corridor or an underground car park: the 600 x 200 mm covers long runs, the 300 x 100 mm is enough in an office corridor. The elongated shape also fits above a lintel or as a band under a suspended ceiling, acting as the relay between two markers.

The substrate is 1 mm green photoluminescent PVC. The material charges under ambient light, then releases that energy as soon as the lighting goes out: the marking stays legible through the phase where occupants look for the exit with no power and possibly through smoke. No photometric class is recorded for this product; if your specification calls for a measured class and afterglow duration, ask for the material data sheet before ordering.

The artwork is screen printed, rated excellent for durability with resistance to oils and solvents, for indoor and outdoor positions. The pictogram falls under ISO 7010. The sign is sold singly, one-year warranty. To close the route, the range offers the emergency exit sign and the exit sign, within the wider building signage offer. A customised sign uses the same material for an off-catalogue format.

Long arrow photoluminescent evacuation sign FAQ

Which way round should this sign be fitted?

As manufactured, it marks an exit to the right. The arrow is read in the direction of travel, so it faces the person moving along the route, at the point where they have to decide to turn. Flipping the sign to obtain a left-pointing arrow distorts the pictogram and is not an intended use.

How long does the sign stay visible after a power cut?

The 1 mm photoluminescent PVC charges under ambient light and releases that energy once the lighting is off, with a luminance that fades gradually. The recorded characteristics include neither a photometric class nor a measured afterglow duration. If your project demands a given class, ask for the material data sheet.

Should you choose the 300 x 100 or the 600 x 200 mm?

The criterion is the distance at which the sign has to be understood, not the size of the room. In an office corridor or above a doorway, the 300 x 100 mm reads effortlessly. As soon as the stretch runs beyond a few tens of metres, the ceiling is high or the setting is dim, the 600 x 200 mm takes over.

Is this sign suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The 1 mm PVC is intended for indoor and outdoor use, with screen printing resistant to oils and solvents. Bear in mind that photoluminescence depends on the light received: a sign placed where no light ever reaches it will release nothing.
