Designed to secure your slim laptops, this Noble Wedge laptop lock cable is the only one compatible with the wedge slot found on the latest generation Dell® and HP® laptops. Its lock head is only compatible with 3.2 x 4.5 mm Wedge security slots and fits perfectly into the most recent Dell laptops and tablets equipped with a Wedge security slot.

The package includes 1 Noble Wedge security cable, a pair of unique keys (only opening this cable), and a product user manual.

These cables are designed for so-called Wedge security slots, which are the smallest on the market (4.5 x 3.2 mm), compared to classic Kensington slots (7.4 x 3.2 mm).

This elegant Noble Wedge cable lock opens with a small non-reproducible tubular key. A thin foam bumper ensures the cable is secured in the best possible way to your devices, avoiding any friction or movement that could damage your equipment. A unique, high-performance laptop lock cable for maximum security

In addition to its elegant design, this Noble Wedge laptop lock cable is made from high-quality materials, with a 4.4 mm braided carbon steel cable offering high tensile strength. This thickness makes it extremely resistant and it can only be removed by applying extreme force, which would inevitably damage the device. The braided steel is coated with a smoked black vinyl sheath for a premium finish.

This 2-meter steel cable attaches to the new Dell and HP wedge slots (4.5 x 3.2 mm).

Its lock features a 360-degree rotating head, which is particularly useful when space is limited for turning the key.

Unique security keys are supplied in pairs and only open your specific cable. Master keys can be provided to facilitate administration of multiple cables (available for orders of 10+ units). Master keys open all cables, independently from the unique keys supplied with each cable. Keys are numbered for easy identification.

Are wedge cables compatible with all laptops?

Noble Wedge security cables (3.2 x 4.5 mm slot) have been specially designed for latest-generation Dell® and HP® laptops, most of which are now equipped with the new wedge slot.

The Noble Wedge lock is intended for ultra-thin and 2-in-1 laptops. This mini Noble Wedge slot (3.2 x 4.5 mm) is 35% smaller than Kensington slots. The location of the wedge slot allows the laptop to sit flat, and the cable’s design prevents it from raising the device once connected.

How does the Noble Wedge security cable work?

The wedge security cable is equipped with a T-Bar-style rotating head that fits into the slot. On the other end, there is a highly resistant carbon steel loop.

Using the cable is simple: find a fixed anchor point, loop the cable around it, and insert the lock head into your laptop’s wedge slot. This anchor point must be fixed or difficult to move to ensure the lock’s efficiency. We recommend looping it around a heavy table leg or, for maximum security, using a wall anchor.

Once your anchor point is chosen, pass the lock head through the loop, insert it into your laptop’s slot, and push to lock. Your cable is now secure!

Do wedge cables offer enough security for my laptop?

The braided carbon steel cable is highly cut-resistant for superior theft protection. Our cables are stronger than average and have passed multiple strength tests.

The cable can withstand up to 310 kg of force (3 kN). The wedge lock head resists pulling forces of 74.4 kgf (729 N).

Any attempt to forcibly remove the Noble Wedge cable from a laptop would damage the device, rendering it unsellable or unusable. This lock guarantees high security and cannot be removed quickly without causing damage.
