Bicycle parking sign: what it shows and where to place it
This sign designates a dedicated cycle parking space and guides users from the entrance. Here are its useful points.
- →Direct guidance: the pictogram leads cyclists and visitors to the shelter or bike rack.
- →Blue information background: the standardised colour code marks a service made available.
- →Indoor and outdoor reading: silk-screen printing withstands UV and weather for durable outdoor display.
- →Six materials: from PVC to Dibond aluminium, to suit the surface and exposure.
- →300 x 300 mm size: a size readable from a distance, suited to an entrance or a shelter.
- →Photoluminescent version: the spot stays visible in a dimly lit room.
- →Custom made: wording or artwork adapted to your site on request.
Setting up cycle parking on a company site
A bike room or shelter only helps if it is found at a glance. A clear sign guides staff to the dedicated parking and supports your soft-mobility policy. Fit it at the entrance of the zone and along the access route.
This sign belongs to the mandatory information signs (blue) within the building signage range, built to guide within your premises. It mounts on a wall, post or totem in minutes.
Materials and fitting of the ISO 7010 bicycle sign
Choose the material by exposure. Indoors, PVC 2 mm stays affordable. For an outdoor shelter or entrance, Dibond aluminium (brushed, gold or white) and Plexiglas 4 mm last longer. On a metal surface, magnetic vinyl repositions without drilling. The photoluminescent version keeps the marker visible in a dark room.
Every sign is silk-screen printed, in a 300 x 300 mm size, with a one-year guarantee. To signpost your whole parking, pair it with the parking sign and the disabled parking sign.
Which bicycle parking sign material for each spot
Match each spot with the suitable material for a first-time fit.
| Fitting spot | Recommended material | Main benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Indoor room, hall | PVC 2 mm | Light and affordable |
| Shelter or outdoor entrance | Dibond aluminium or Plexiglas 4 mm | Durable against UV and rain |
| Post or metal surface | Magnetic vinyl | Fits without drilling |
| Dimly lit room | Photoluminescent 1 mm | Marker visible without lighting |
Customisation and compliance of the bicycle parking pictogram
The bicycle parking pictogram complies with standard MFX 08003 ISO 6790/7010, a signal recognised by everyone.
The sign is custom made: extra wording, a directional arrow or artwork matched to your brand.
For consistent mobility signage, pair it with the electric vehicle charging station sign, the compulsory direction sign, the assembly point sign and the video protection sign.
Check the material in the specifications tab to finalise your bicycle parking sign.
FAQ - bicycle parking sign
