The blank American tag is a natural beige cardboard identification tag, designed to mark any item on which no adhesive label will hold. Supplied with its reinforcement eyelet and metal wire, it attaches directly to equipment, parts or stock batches. Made from high-quality 160 g/m² board, it withstands wear and time in professional environments. A simple, economical and durable solution for glue-free identification in industry, warehouses and stores.

Glue-free identification: ideal for surfaces where adhesive won't hold (oily metal, rough materials, frequently handled objects).
High-quality 160 g/m² board: resistant to wear and time, suited to workshops and storage areas.
5 mm reinforcement eyelet: protects the attachment point from tearing, even with repeated handling.
300 mm metal wire fitted: immediate attachment to items, with no tool or additional consumable.
Natural beige finish: neutral and discreet identification, with no imposed colour code.
Six formats, box of 1000: from 80 × 38 mm to 160 × 80 mm, in packaging designed for regular use.
Customisable on request: metal or reinforced eyelets, specific formats, special manufacturing.

Blank American tag: identify your items without glue

The blank American tag is the reference solution for identifying items on which no adhesive label can be applied. Attached directly by its metal wire, it marks a part, a tool, a motor or a batch of goods without requiring any bonding surface. It is found in industry, warehouses and stores, wherever equipment or products need to be identified quickly. Unlike a sticker, it can be moved from one item to another and withstands repeated handling without losing legibility. It fits naturally into a stock management approach and complements the range of American tags from SBE Direct.

A 160 g/m² board with wire tie, resistant to wear

Made from high-quality 160 g/m² board, the tag resists wear and time, including in workshops or storage areas exposed to friction. Its 5 mm light beige reinforcement eyelet protects the attachment point from tearing, while the 300 mm metal wire fitted allows immediate attachment without any tool. Its non-adhesive design avoids glue residue and removes any surface compatibility constraint. The natural beige finish provides neutral identification: if you prefer to organise your markers by colour code, opt instead for the blank coloured American tag, available in yellow, red and blue. To renew or complete the fastenings, SBE Direct offers dedicated metal ties and the rayon string suited to these tags.

Formats and customisation of your identification tags

The blank American tag comes in six formats, from 80 × 38 mm to 160 × 80 mm, to suit the size of your items and the amount of information to be written. Each reference is packaged in boxes of 1000, a quantity designed for regular professional use. The cardboard support accepts handwriting: an indelible industrial marker ensures marking that remains legible over time. Beyond the standard model, several options are available on request: metal or reinforced metal eyelets, specific format or special manufacturing. If you need a pre-printed logo, number or barcode, the American tag with custom printing version takes over, and our tips for successfully printing your logo help you prepare your artwork. Supplied with a 1-year warranty, this identification tag combines robustness, versatility and a controlled budget: choose the format suited to your items or request a free quote.

Frequently asked questions

What is a blank American tag?

It is a natural beige 160 g/m² cardboard identification tag, without printing, fitted with a reinforced eyelet and a metal wire. It is used to identify items on which an adhesive label cannot be applied, by attaching directly to equipment, parts or stored products.

How do you attach an American tag without glue?

Each tag is supplied with a 300 mm metal wire already fitted in the 5 mm eyelet. Simply pass the wire around the object or through an attachment point, then twist it. No tool or adhesive is required, and the tag can be removed and refitted onto another item.

What is the difference with the coloured American tag?

The blank version shown here is natural beige, for neutral identification. The blank coloured version uses the same board and the same tie, but comes in yellow, red and blue to organise your markers by colour code. The choice depends on your need: universal marking or visual sorting.

Can the blank American tag be customised?

Yes. The cardboard accepts handwriting with an industrial marker. On request, SBE Direct offers metal or reinforced metal eyelets, specific formats and special manufacturing. For a pre-printed logo, number or barcode, the custom-printing version is more suitable.
