The CT4-LX thermal transfer label printer combines a compact format ideal for small spaces with excellent performance. On average, it is faster than most printers in its class, reaching a printing speed of up to 203 mm/s. You can easily print customized labels tailored to your needs—barcode labels, price tags, or labels for healthcare—while managing your print volumes efficiently.

With a resolution of 203 or 305 dpi, the CT4-LX printer can print on roll labels as well as wristbands, such as those used for hospital patients. The thermal transfer printer supports a wide range of alphanumeric fonts and 1D and 2D barcodes. The maximum label width is 104 mm, allowing a great variety of labels to be printed. It features a 4.3-inch color touchscreen with 31 display languages for both the menu and printing process, making the printer easy and intuitive to use.

The printer is also available in an RFID version, supporting both UHF and HF encoding to meet the most advanced traceability needs. It is compatible with UHF ISO/IEC 18000-63 standards and HF ISO/IEC 14443 Type A and ISO/IEC 15693 technologies, offering great flexibility for use in various industries including logistics, retail, and healthcare.

To fully benefit from UHF RFID encoding, the SRA module (SATO RF Analyze) is required. This module ensures optimal encoding configuration based on the RFID inlay’s type and position, delivering maximum performance and reliability. Additionally, the CT4-LX RFID version can handle RFID label rolls up to 115 mm in diameter, increasing autonomy and boosting productivity during your print/encode operations.

Easy-to-maintain SATO thermal transfer label printer

First, design your labels using the NiceLabel software. This software is not included with the printer, but can be downloaded from the SATO website. It allows for the creation of personalized conventional linear barcode labels. However, this version of NiceLabel does not support 2D or EAN barcode types, nor database or RFID label management.

Optional wireless and Bluetooth connectivity allows the CT4-LX thermal transfer printer to operate autonomously, without being connected to a host system during printing. The printer is RFID-compatible and can be used with optional HF RFID.

Once the cover is open, the label and ribbon rolls are easily accessible. This makes them very easy to change. Maintenance is also simple and tool-free.
