This UHF RFID badge and card reader allows you to read only, quickly and contactlessly Ultra High Frequency (UHF) transponders. Thanks to its high frequency technology, this reader is able to read tags, labels, cards, badges and other transmitters of RFID technology within a few centimeters in RDFID 868Mhz in USB-HID interface (Plug and Play) in a mobile or fixed way.
Thanks to its high resistance to heat differences, the player can be used both outdoors and indoors. This UHF RFID reader is used to record the entry and exit of articles or people and for simplified logistics and inventory management.
RFID reader, how does it work?
A reader is a device that emits radio-frequency signals and can detect all the tags and chips (called transponders) within its reading range. rfid chip readers provide the energy needed to detect and decode RFID antennas at a varying distance. RFID technology allows you to retrieve and store data from RFID chips or other devices. The badge reader reads your RFID cards and badges to be able to trace and/or identify. Once the information has been collected, you can process it using software compatible with your computer. The reading distance depends on the reading frequency and the size of the antenna. In general, UHF chips have a much greater range than HF chips and can reach up to 15m, depending on the size of the tag. This is called long range .
The reading of the chip consists in knowing the IUD (the identifying number of the chip), the type of chip and reading the potential data written in it. For instance, the data encoded in the chip can be the name of the client entering a gym or the number of entries on the card.
Which chips are compatible with this UHF reader ?
You should know that the reader and the chip must be on the same frequency spectrum. If you have UHF tags, smart cards and badges, they will only be read with a reader of the same frequency.

How to use this reader?
This reader only reads UHF chips , which usually have a fairly large reading distance. The fact of being able to read up to 20 cm makes reading more convenient when the antenna is integrated in a piece of clothing, bag or even a box. Using transponders only in ultra high frequency is worthwhile when you want to encode a lot of data and HF cards do not offer enough space for the desired use. How to encode its chip so that it is readable?
Note that encoding means that the data can be stored inside the chip and that the storage space varies from one chip to another. The storage space is called bytes, and the more bytes you have, the more storage space you have. To encode the chip, it is usually necessary to use software. For computer scientists or people with a good knowledge of coding, creating such software will be entirely within their reach.
